440 Electric Cars Arrive in Bali Ahead 10th World Water Forum

A total of 440 electric cars for the 10th World Water Forum have arrived at the Benoa Port in Denpasar, Bali. The state-owned port operator company, PT Pelindo (Persero) Subregion Bali and Nusa Tenggara, facilitated the delivery of the cars, which will be used for the operational purposes of the delegates attending the 10th World Water Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali, from 18 to 25 May.

"We provide the best services as a form of commitment and support to the organization of the 10th World Water Forum,” said Fariz Hariyoso, the Head of PT Pelindo Subregion Bali and Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday, 8 May in Denpasar.

The cars were shipped from Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta to Benoa Port in Bali. The new luxurious vehicles were transported using the Aishakamilah Motor Ship in a single voyage to the Island of Gods. The cars sent specifically for the 10th World Water Forum consist of four brands from global automotive companies.

The jumbo vessel, painted in red, berthed at Benoa Port on Tuesday, 7 May. The electric vehicles were then lowered one by one through the ramp door of the ship. The unloading process took place until Wednesday.

The cars were checked by the relevant officers and then transported to the parking area at Benoa Port in Denpasar before being moved to the main venue of the World Water Forum in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency.

The World Water Forum is an international meeting involving various stakeholders in the water resources sector, including governments, parliaments, political leaders, multilateral institutions, politicians, academics, civil societies, and businesses.

The 10th forum in Bali, themed "Water for Shared Prosperity," is expected to be attended by around 35,000 delegates from 193 countries worldwide.

The forum focuses on six main subthemes: water resilience and well-being; water for humans and nature; disaster risk reduction and management; water management cooperation and hydro-diplomacy; sustainable water financing; and knowledge and innovation.
