Melasti Water Carnival Entertains Delegates and Visitors of 10^th World Water Forum

The 10^th World Water Forum presents side events featuring entertainment for delegates and forum participants. One of the side events is the Melasti Water Carnival that took place at Melasti Beach, Badung Regency, Bali, on Thursday, 23 May 2024 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Central Indonesian Time (GMT+8).

With Mo Sidik and Ito Sedana as the host, the Melasti Water Carnival was enlivened with various captivating entertainment and performances by guest stars such as RAN, Alffy Rev, and Jun Bintang.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, who was also present at the Melasti Water Carnival, seemed to really enjoy the performances by the guest stars. "This event is to entertain the participants of the 10th World Water Forum after long discussions," he said.

Several local and contemporary cultural performances were also featured at the Melasti Water Carnival, such as the kecak dance, community craft fairs, water carnival dance and baleganjur, and performances by various Balinese artists. The kecak dance performance successfully mesmerized the audience who crowded the front stage. Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the event, participants can visit the booth displaying handicrafts located at the entrance.

The 10th World Water Forum was held in Nusa Dua, Bali, from 18 to 25 May 2024, with the overarching theme “Water for Shared Prosperity”. The Melasti Water Carnival not only provided a platform for discussions and learning on water management but also aimed to create memorable experiences to be cherished by the delegates and participants.
