Indonesian National Military Holds Tactical Floor Game Ahead of 10th World Water Forum in Bali

The Indonesian National Military (TNI) conducted a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) in preparation of the security arrangements for VVIP guests of the 10th World Water Forum at Yudomo Sports Arena in Kepaon, Denpasar, Bali, on Friday, 17 May 2024.

The TFG was led by Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The TNI and Indonesian National Police (Polri) Task Force Commanders, government agencies, and other relevant parties were also in attendance to ensure the preparedness of each task force involved in security operations.

In his briefing to the entire task force commanders, Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhur Binsar Pandjaitan requested that the personnel on assignment understand their respective functions and responsibilities clearly.

He stated that the TFG serves as a form of coordination in planning operations, ensuring that each task force understands its tasks and obligations to ensure the success of and support the organization of the 10th World Water Forum.

"I believe the TFG approach is an excellent tool for ensuring that soldiers and field commanders understand what needs to be done. Make sure everyone knows what they're doing. It is imperative that you make a thorough preparation. I think the TFG has been satisfactory, stated Luhut.

The World Water Forum is an international gathering under the auspices of the World Water Council (WWC) that brings together various stakeholders in the water resources sector, including government officials, parliament members, political leaders, multilateral organizations, academics, civil society representatives, business actors, and others.

The 10th World Water Forum in Bali will be held under the theme "Water for Shared Prosperity" and is expected to be attended by approximately 35,000 attendees from 193 countries.

This forum carries six major sub-themes: water security and prosperity, water for humans and nature, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Governance, Cooperation and Hydro-diplomacy, Sustainable Water Finance, and Knowledge and Innovation. (Biro Humas Polri/TR/Elvira Inda Sari/SC/PR)
