 160 Participants from 17 Countries Attend 10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo

Representative of the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Puan Maharani, officially opened the 10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo, in the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) area, on Monday, 20 May 2024. This exhibition will last until the end of the 10th World Water Forum, on 25 May 2024.

"I am very happy to welcome the participants at the opening of the 10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo. We hope that this event will provide a good opportunity to promote initiatives and innovation from various countries and stakeholders," said Puan Maharani.

When inspecting the exhibition at one of the outlets, Puan bought products made by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) from recycled environmentally friendly materials.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Uno who was present with Puan explained that at least 160 participants from 17 countries were involved in the Fair and Expo. "All booths are fully booked," said Sandiaga.

Meanwhile, President Loïc Fauchon expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's success in preparing for the event for two years, which to him, was highly professional.

 “Thank you for preparing this forum well and in a manner full of friendliness. We, World Water Warriors, we want to call for international action to ensure more active, decentralized governance for strengthening the rules of mediation for rivers, lakes, and basins," he said.

After the opening of the Fair and Expo, Puan Maharani, Loïc Fauchon, Sandiaga Uno, the 10th World Water Forum Communication Ambassador Cinta Laura, and several delegates visited the Indonesian Pavilion which is part of the expo.
