10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo Showcases Water Management Innovations and MSMEs

An exhibition of innovation in water resource management, “the 10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo," was officially opened on Monday, 20 May. The Fair and Expo is showcasing various innovations in water management and products from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, officially opened the exhibition together with the Representative of the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Puan Maharani, and President of the World Water Council, Loic Fauchon.

"We involve MSME actors in this event to provide a significant impact on business opportunities and job creation," said Minister Sandiaga.

The event was attended by 116 participants from 17 countries. These participants exhibit their innovations and products in in the various country pavilions and organization pavilions spread within the exhibition area.

"They showed great enthusiasm to participate in the event that will take place over the next few days," said Minister Sandiaga.

As part of the "10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo," the Water Vaganza fair will be held in several locations, including Bali Collection in Nusa Dua and the Tsunami Shelter in Kuta.

The fair will feature various activities, including exhibition of MSMEs products from different regions of Indonesia, Bali creative workshops, water talks, cultural festivals, and water concerts.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy specially supports the Fair and Expo by establishing the Indonesian Pavilion, showcasing water resource management innovations. The pavilion also displays the National Capital City (IKN) development project, the development of tourism and the creative economy, and hosts 43 talk show sessions.

"The Indonesian Pavilion showcases various advantages of Indonesia, encouraging MSMEs to practice responsible water management," said Sandiaga.

Meanwhile, Puan Maharani stated that through this event, people can witness Indonesia's progress in managing water resources for the benefit of the community.

"The Indonesian Pavilion showcases the progress that Indonesia has made in caring for, utilizing, and innovating in using water for the welfare of the entire Indonesian people, said Puan Maharani.

This also demonstrates the commitment of Indonesia and the world to work together in maximizing the benefits of water resources.

"In this opportunity, I hope that the government and parliament can work together to fight together, because water is very important, not only for Indonesia but also for the world," added Puan.
